Louisiana Association of Museums Conference (LAMcon) is an annual conference that consists of several days of networking and learning from others in the museum field. Held at various locations across Louisiana, it is a great way to meet new people, visit with colleagues and learn new things!

LAM is partnering with Southeastern Museums Conference (SEMC) for our 2024 conference season. Sessions and events will take place at the SEMC 2024 Conference in Baton Rouge. Our Annual Special Awards Luncheon and meeting will take place during the conference on Monday, October 21st at the Old State Capitol in Baton Rouge.

Keynote Speakers Mr. Edward Benoit III, Ph.D. and Ms. Jill Trepanier, Ph.D. will be joining us to speak on the latest milestone for project “PROTECCT-GLAM” . The project assists cultural heritage institutions protect their valuable collections from storms, climate change, and other risk factors.

Consider nominating a colleague or institution for one of our Special Awards. Tickets for the “luncheon only” can be purchased here.

LAM members will receive a discounted registration fee when they register for SEMC2024. For details and more information visit their website:
